Washington, DC—The National Council of Asian Pacific Americans (NCAPA) issued the following statement following the signing of the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 into law.
We applaud President Biden and Congress for this remarkable accomplishment. This law, which will create jobs by investing in communities, lower healthcare costs and reduce energy costs, will provide necessary relief for American families across the country. So many within the Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander community have been struggling throughout the pandemic, it is a welcome change to see substantive action and leadership, rather than the all-too-common partisan gridlock.
