NCAPA issued the following statement regarding the shooting that occurred at former President Trump’s Pennsylvania rally on July 13:
“The members of NCAPA unequivocally denounce the political violence that occurred over the weekend, and our hearts go out to all who have been impacted. While principled disagreement has always been a hallmark of our politics, gun violence cannot be part of that. In an era of increasing polarization, we are hurtling towards an inflection point, with our country’s stability in the balance. We call on everyone, especially our leaders, to de-escalate this violence together.”
