The COVID-19 health crisis highlighted a critical gap in getting timely, in-language information to immigrant and limited English proficient (LEP) communities. Community organizations have been forced to step in to produce translation for government agencies amid rapidly changing rules and guidance. How can we ensure our communities receive the most accurate and up-to-date information in a manner that is accessible?
During this webinar, we will discuss the legal basis for language access rights, the importance of filing complaints with government agencies regarding failures/shortfalls in providing language support to LEP individuals, and walk through the complaints process. Join us to learn more about how you can support improving language access for our communities!
