FYLPRO: Part 1: Filipinos on Becoming Advocates for Racial Justice

Are you feeling the urgency to take on racial injustice but uncertain where to begin? This radical workshop by FYLPRO’s Tayo project is for the Filipino community is our call to action.

​​In this workshop, we will:

  • ​​Delve into the colonial roots of racial injustice in the Philippines.

  • ​​Explore the Filipino people’s legacy of resistance against oppression, past and present. Get inspired by understanding powerful cross-racial solidarity movements involving Filipinos.

  • ​​Transition from Intent to Impact: Build actionable steps to translate intention into meaningful activism.

  • ​​Understand our positionality and evolve from bystander to co-conspirator for racial justice.

​​This workshop is for Filipinos who:

  • ​​Are ready to be the change in dismantling racism.

  • ​​Want to explore the intersection of their Filipino identity with the fight for racial justice.

  • ​​Seek actionable tools for fostering constructive dialogues about race within their circles, families, and communities.
